Ikea Play Kitchen DIY Hack
Ever since I found out I was going to have a little girl I’ve been wanting to do this project. I finally took the time to do it! It’s a pretty simple project that only takes a few hours (minus the time for the paint to dry).
I used the Ikea DUKTIG Play Kitchen for this makeover. It usually sells for $99 but I got it on sale for $79 yay!
It took me a while to decide what colors I was going to use but since this is going in my daughter’s room I decided to painted the same color as her dresser, mint/teal with gold handles. For the backsplash I was lucky enough to find the same pattern as her crib sheet. It is actually wrapping paper from Rifle Paper Co.
This is a pretty inexpensive makeover, especially for me since I had most of the supplies lying around in the garage.
Materials I used
Valspar Sweet Mint Paint (had it mixed with Valspar’s Furniture Satin Latex Paint)
Flower Backsplash and cardboard
Super Glue (for glueing the backsplash cardboard to the kitchen)
