My daughter is obsessed with Rapunzel, her magic hair and the lanterns so, naturally I decided that this was going to be the theme for her birthday party. I wasn’t sure were to start, browsing through photo backgrounds on amazon I came across this amazing leaves background and from there, everything came together. I decided to make almost everything myself, from the “sun” flags to the cupcake tower.
If there are any question please, add it in the comment section below.

Rapunzel’s princess dress from the Disney store.
I bought the leaves photo background on amazon .
The balloon stands I bought on amazon for a very good price. It come in a set of 2 stands, no need for helium and it made the dessert table come to life.
I bought yellow yarn and went a little crazy with it. For the cake topper I bought a generic number “3” topper from party city and covered it with the yarn. Did the same thing with the letter “A”. You can find the letters at Michael’s, Walmart, etc… and then covered it with the yarn. The flowers I got from the dollar store.
Yarn braids everywhere :)
Made the sun flags myself to save a little bit of money. I bought the sun decal form etsy and regular purple flags from party city. Once I had everything all I did was paint the sun onto each flag.
Bought this clear mason jar and painted it white for a more rustic feel.
Found these flowers hair clips on amazon .
Found these bag in the crafting section at Walmart so I decided to use them as favor bags. I added the brown fabric, button and the “wanted” tags.
This is were I got a bit more creative. For holding the cupcake tower in place I used soup cans, that’s right, soup cans and covered it with a brick paper print out. Then, I used cake boards and hot glued everything together. I used purple paper for the top of the tower and added a bit o fake moss throughout the tower. To make the cupcakes look “fancier” I bought edible flower toppers.
Put everything together myself for the flower. Found a similar flower to the one in the movie but since the one I found was orange I painted it yellow/gold and added gold glitter to it so that it looked more magical.
